CNN: after meeting with trump, Michigan lawmakers...

Warn certification should be a “process free from threats and intimidation”

Well hot damn and a huge hallelujah to the Michigan law makers. They are GOP but they did good this time anyway.

They are standing by their states results! Repeat, they are standing by their states results. Biden wins.

about getting the BOE/legislators to overrule the public vote.

Going to see him, at this moment in time, is even worse than Republicans who are failing to condemn Trump's actions - since they actively contributed to the perception that such behavior is normal.

It's possible they saw an in to go after that even though they knew he wanted something else.

Maybe they realize how improper it would look if they met with Trump for what was really going on.....and the COVID relief part is a fake alibi. Would love to see a transcript of this meeting.

by overturning the will of the people through legislators and BOE certification. He directly contacts two members of the BOE to attempt to withdraw their votes to certify - and they write letters doing so which were, fortunately, rejected. When that apparently failed, he invites Republican leaders of the legislature (the next step in the certification process) to see him.

That stinks to high heaven, no matter how much perfume (or lipstick) you put on it.

Or are they just doing a real life retweet of Trump saying the Wayne County board Republicans were threatened?

It doesn't really matter. MI GOP legislature doesn't have a role in this process.

And if they support Trump now and it all fails, in 2 years when elections come around again this will be around their neck. Not to mention that if Trump should die (not wishing death, just saying, he is of a certain age and in obviously poor health) his whole "movement" withers and they with it.
In no way do I believe they're doing it because they believe in America or democracy. It's CYA.

I will do it for you anonymously. We have lost so many from his actions and inaction. Death is too good for him, but it would be a start at healing our nation and families .

I respect your decency.

Have a great weekend LSFL!
