Here's an old idea regarding climate change:

Biden in 1987 while speaking in the senate for his Global Climate Protection Act. He wasn't able to get his bill passed in the Reagan era, but it was passed and signed into law by Reagan as an amendment to another bill.

"Life on this planet exists only under highly specialized circumstances. Indeed, so special are these circumstances that even a small rise in temperature could disrupt the entire complicated environment that has nurtured life as we know it."
