I'm asking for the gazzilionth time

Why the fuck is the media discussing polls about whether people believe Biden won or not - all the fucking facts show he won - who gives a rat's ass what they think.
M$Greedia is a big part of the division in the US.

Just this cycle. No wonder publicly financed campaigns are such a heavy lift. So far!

They also have a muscle to move public opinion and should use it because this nonsense about questioning legitimacy of the vote in black communities is some bullshit with a B

Does the Republican core of 73 million stay under Trump's spell in 2021 and form a well-organized resistance to the Biden administration?

Or does the core turn their back on their failed Presidential candidate ala Romney and McCain?

Media is there to make money and they way they make money is to keep the temperature up so people will keep tuning in. It also keeps the "journalists" from dying of boredom. I myself tune in to see what is going on.

The competition is at present a fragile democracy that is giving way to the tantrums of a tyrant because tantrums make sensational news and that is the focus of the news.

After he is gone, the media will continue to repeat his tweets and follow him around to get his view of things. They will follow McConnell so he can further undermine our democracy.

The goal of the republican party is to make the US a one party state. They have worked on this for decades through their think tanks, brotherhood houses, big money donors, and their own media. tRump is their useful idiot. This is not a coup by trump but the old guard and corporate state. Most media serves corporate interests.

on each hour x 24 supposed to fill its hour with except the networks' agreed story of the day?

All I can suggest is watch the evening news to see what others are seeing (Norah O'Donnell currently for us), pick one favorite cable program (picking recorded segments of 2 or 3 late-night show plus Morning Joe for us), and otherwise turn off the boob tube and read a good newspaper. Not ignoring the dozens of tabs taking us to all the other worlds reported on to focus on U.S. politics. Suggestions easy to give and easy to forget to follow, but I stand by them anyway, albeit somewhat hypocritically.

Or comfort ourselves that only a small percentage of Americans know cable networks do this because the rest don't watch.

news or education.

And WE're the reason they stick to this profitable formula -- WE're the small percentage they're in business to gather up for their advertisers, and it's just going to have to be up to anyone who wants more to say no and get it elsewhere.

How many MSNBC programs alone? 20 or more each day? Just how many repetitions do WE choose to subject ourselves to?

Are we sure this problem is something we should even be aware of? And, yes, I am too -- up to my eyebrows.

it's not like there's any news to report. Kind of surprising...all those states, and they're stuck on Republicans and their feelings. Not exactly 'fake news', just news that's been washed well. I wonder how many news items networks average in a day.

I haven't participated in one survey or poll since the election because they're nothing - not even worth the paper they aren't printed on. I wish there were somebody in charge of the internet so we could report these people/bots and get them suspended.

Wouldn't be news if an insignificant number of voters believe the election was stolen, but a gazillion voters is evidence of mass psychosis.

Like it or not, that's newsworthy. It represents a real threat because some of those idiots are heavily armed and organized.
