Irony Watch: The Dominion voting machines, which Trump alleges are at the heart of the "Democrat" conspiracy, were purchased and put in place by Georgia's Republican politicians. Over Democratic opposition.

Do you know what the objection was? Anything to do with a connection to Chavez?

It seems that the machines were a bit of an improvement on the "black box" systems they had before. (I might have it wrong, but I thought the new system printed a voter verifiable paper record that was then scanned and tabulated. That is, the system provides an audit trail that would make it impossible to "flip" a vote unbeknownst to the voter or election auditors.

Certainly!

I didn't mean to sound like a dunce. I assumed Dominion's origin predated his death.

I poked around a little but haven't been able to find what the Democrats objection was. Still curious. Might look more later.

13. The new machines, the voter inserts a blank ballot

Picks choices from the screen, that choice is then printed on the ballot but what is scanned is not the printed choice but a bar code is scanned and counted

In the hand count the printed ballots were counted so it is a big improvement over the paperless dres Georgia used to have but

The scanner reading bar code makes it a “trust “ system were paper ballots hand marked and hand counted is a more transparent system easily overseen by ordinary citizens system

Marilyn marks and Stacey led the hand marked/counted idea but this machine was the compromise

Bradblog covered it...ty for caring about election integrity

15. Another problem the Democrats were fighting against was the proprietary software

If software is going to count the votes at least it should be open to examination or open sourced

And as in all good ct there’s a nugget of truth in there...lol years ago I think it was a company that had chevez as an invester or something that owned a software on a paperless machine this company owned, many changes of hands since then , bradblog would have those details too

I am really pleased they did that hand count, proves Biden won in a transparent way

Propagandists “omit or distort pertinent facts or simply lie,” & “try to divert...attention...from everything but their own propaganda.”

This is why Rs single out Dominion system vulnerabilities & political ties, but ignores ES&S system vulnerabilities & political ties 1/

3/ It’s also why Rs never mention that Democrats championed election-security legislation (the #SAFEAct) that would have required robust manual audits to confirm electronic results, but Republicans mercilessly blocked it.

Here is the final text of the House election-security bill called the #SAFEAct. https://congress.gov/116/bills/hr2722/BILLS-116hr2722eh.pdf

The first paragraph requires that all voters have the option to mark their ballots by hand and bans barcode voting systems (albeit without using the word "barcode" ): 1/ [image]
