meeting every criterion for diversity without sacrificing anything, not choices to fit boxes but because they are really, really good, and known to the president-elect.

(26,250 posts)I kept telling everyone (mostly Sanders and Warren supporters - both of whom I deeply admire) that Joe would hit the ground running, and be further ahead, really early, in picking the best people, than what we normally see. He knows everyone and everyone knows him. Most, and maybe all (some secretly) legislators admire and respect him. And he is a healer who will get us back up on our feet and back in our place in the world.
In other words, I'm thrilled to bits.

(1,654 posts)Remember the reality show covered by C-Span and others of candidates trooping to the Trump Tower to kiss the ass err ring of D. Trump. All those pretenders "honored" to be considered. Don't you miss it? Actually no, neither do I. This is how real leaders do it, choosing people they know are honorable and competent and hopefully the best for the role they are asked to fill in getting our country back on track.
