with too much information can be assasinated even if they are not a danger or terrorist or enemy themselves? I'm worried it will be used on Democratic thinkers like Meachem and Krugman domestically or thinkers abroad. I can't remember what it is called. It was this past week.

(12,647 posts)The "target" of such operations has to be contacting "terrorist cells" directly outside the jurisdiction of the DoJ and DHS agents who would normally be in charge of infaltration, investigations and arrests of such groups domestically.
It's also an EO, not a law.

(12,647 posts)They have to be overturned with prejudice, and clear direction that any extra-judicial activity like this is unconstitutional, no matter the location or raison d'jour an administration might have to target people or groups.
If Trump got a second term, his goons and enablers each have a list of people they don't like, and it wouldn't matter where those on those lists were or the status of their citizenship.

(118,622 posts)administration doesn't give reasons for most of what they do... they never say what the end game is because it is so unpalatable. Actually all movement conservatives hide their end game where policy is concerned.
