Happy thanksgiving. We're not done with this Turkey yet.

The “Turkey” can both be 2020 itself and Trump. They are interchangeable insofar as what may still happen in the remaining 5 weeks of this year and the first 3 of 2021.

Sure he will whine more and pardon more and tweet nonsense.

All of that will garner some news but increasingly he will occupy less and less of the front page and the first segments on newscasts.

His increasing irrelevance will paradoxically make him more dangerous.

He will be desperate to regain the news cycle and command attention while he still can.

He may order military strikes on Iran or declare that he will have leading democrats arrested, up to including Biden. Those may be empty threats but that isn’t the point.

The point is that we may have quit him but as a malignant narcissist he hasn’t quit US and he will throw whatever kind of tantrum or stunt he needs to get that attention.

January 20 can’t come quick enough.

He is still a madman and we are in mortal peril. Still.

...because we got clear-cut evidence last night that, even when Trump is gone, Trumpism will be alive and dominant, in the form of massive amounts of "legislating from the bench" of the SCOTUS, for the next thirty years or more.
