I had to sit a few out due to work.

I understand.

Just Dad and I today. Normal elder care arrangement. No family thing going on.

I miss her today.

I have grown kids in town and they’ve been checking in by text. They’re having their thanksgiving with their family pods.

Next year, I’m going to eat twice as much!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, roamer65!

Listening to music, watching YouTube and reading DU posts.

At least I didn't have to eat with this guy....

And to you and anyone feeling lonely.

I am fine, I spend most holidays alone and am quite used to it. Doesn't bother me a bit, I'm just thankful I have a home to be alone in and that I didn't have to go anywhere.

I had some fixins here and made enough to enjoy and that's really all I needed, and DU.

I try not to dwell upon it. Under the Q from clinical exposure. My 4th Q.

Our clinic is stricter than CDC guidelines for healthcare workers so it's life

I took a long assed hike today thru the foothills
Seen 2 dozen mule deer
4 whitetail deer
A badger
Mr coyote
Flock of wild turkeys
2 pheasants
2 grouse
Flock of geese
And a porky-pine

they are in the same bubble but I was going to sit outside and eat that way...then my 4 month old NEW car battery had a different idea. I was even wearing my American Indian accessories...all dressed up and no car battery power at 5 PM. Too late to call AAA and get there in time. Hello spaghetti...par for the course for this shitty year I guess. I miss my dog and my dad.

Covid self isolating is killing car batteries too, if you don't drive them enough.

something even more expensive. I can't afford my health insur, let alone a mechanic who I can trust. I am not a rich, elite librul like the cult believes all Dems are. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thursday wasn't a holiday here, but I saw no family until 10:30 PM

I had to get up at 3:15 to make a 4:44 AM train down to München (Munich), worked there all day, then got 4:49 PM train back to Düsseldorf (between 5 and 5½ hours each way), then the 10:00 PM commuter train back to my town, where my wife picked me up and we got to the house just before 11 PM. Dinner was a small salad, a boiled artichoke and some spiced sautéed potatoes with onions. Dessert was lightly spiced Constant Comment tea from Boston sweetened with Apricot marmalade from Turkey.

So much for tradition!
