That gave him credit for getting some American hostages released. So that may be good---but it said something about arms deals being tied to the releases, so usually such deals made by Repukes with shady characters (see Bin Laden) come back to bite us in the ass, so the jury is still out. The deal President Obama cut with the Taliban to get Bowe Bergdahl (who, as you will remember, was the GOP cause celebre before we got him back, and a scumbag traitor who should be marched in front of a firing squad after we did) was less deleterious to the security of this country than the deal Trump cut to get those hostages released.

that helped a lot of unemployed. It was too short lived, but was decent at time. He didn’t write it or anything, and he had to do it to stand any chance of being re-elected. Similarly, I think his push for a vaccine — again for selfish reasons — likely saved us a few months, assuming vaccines make it. But, big pharmaceutical— that we all are supposed to despise— would have come through on this one, anyway.

But, for all his hatred, racism, bigotry, exciting violence, opposition to ACA and not improving it, opposition to foreign relations, and maybe worse, I wouldn’t vote for the POS — or anything like him — if he gave everyone a million bucks and personally cured cancer.

That's one of the few things I agreed with him on. He also did not actively try to push dictators out of office, such as Bashar al-Assad. I think that's a good thing, it's none of our business and I don't want any more troop deaths. Pulling out troops is the only other good thing he did that I can think of.
