I think we all know that these guys are former republicans. Well some still identify as republican. Some don't. I'm sure you can find a whole lot of things they said in past years that were complimentary to republicans.

limited govt, etc. Why people expect them to be democrats is beyond me. Constantly trying to prove they’re not is a big duh.

The fact they are working so hard to save democracy and unseat those who were complicit in being okay with destroying it, even though that means being on the side of those holding policy positions they don’t agree with, makes them admirable in my book.

Once the ship is righted, assuming it ever is, they will of course return to promoting policies they are more in line with. I expect that. But they want to have that argument within a democratic framework. So do we all.
