Canada has blocked the distribution of certain medications outside the country in response to a U.S. plan to import drugs from Canada. President Trump promised it would lower costs and be a "game changer" for seniors.

Canada Blocks Export Of Medications In Short Supply In Response To Trump Plan
The move comes just days before a U.S. rule was set to go into effect allowing for bulk importation of drugs from Canada. Trump promised it would lower costs and be a "game changer" for seniors.

isn’t what you’d call a long term solution. Maybe the nation of 328 million should do the same things the nation of 37 million is doing to keep prescription costs down.

I can't agree more. The USA should adapt a program like Canada has.

As a Canadian I do love my socialist health care. As a senior I get most prescription drugs paid for by my Ontario Health Care plan.

We Canadians like to think we are all in this together.

some 'program' that 'sounds good' but there's no freaking planning or organization behind it whatsoever.

See, that would've involved 'work' ... which cuts into his golfing, tweeting, and watching TV time to an unacceptable degree.

That might cut into the profits of his rich Republican friends. Much easier for him to import drugs from a country that doesn’t allow pharmaceutical companies to take advantage of its citizens. Now Trump can blame Canada for his failure to lower drug costs for the American people instead of himself, where it belongs.
