After phonebanking in to Georgia from Michigan last night

I have drawn a conclusion. I don't have a great deal of experience with Georgia voters only having called three weeks. However I do have 20 plus years doing it in Mi. 17 weeks this time around. I could feel something change 2 weeks in in Mi. suddenly people who identified as Republicans were willing to talk. Calling Georgia last night I sense the one thing that is really under the skin of Georgians is current Senators making the health of their portfolios more important than their constituents health.
I think that more than anything is the thing to keep hammering at. No one I talked to last night will even try to defend that.

Do you tell people you're from MI? Do you have scripted talking points? How long do they usually talk? DO they ask questions?

I am straight up with them. That gives me a chance to tell why I'm doing it. There are scripts but there are really only three questions that are important at this point. I try to get them talking. I have done this so long I know when to talk and when to listen.

Cleared of any wrong-doing. I hope Georgians aren't buying that. A new ad by Perdue claims he wasn't at that Republicans-only COVID briefing. He thinks we'll believe no one told him.

senate against Santorum, there were two issues that really made people angry. First was Santorum blowing off jury duty. Everyone, at some point, gets called for jury duty. No one really wants to do it or worse be picked for a jury, but it's something we all have to do. Every voter related to that and knew they'd never be able to just ignore a jury duty summons. The other thing was Santorum getting tuition-free enrollment in a local cyber school. This was before the charter/cyber charter school boom. Everyone knew they wouldn't be getting a good deal like that.

You'd think this was just minor stuff, but it really resonated with people. It's probably the same with these stock trades.

Only a few people answered their phones. One said, "I'm not a damned Democrat," and hung up on me. The other two discovered there was something wrong with their registrations. They were very firm that they would fix the problem. Both were emphatic they were going to vote for the democrats.

I suspect you're right that Georgians are angry that their senators put their money over the health of their constituents.

is important to make contact. I don't think I would be very good at phonebanking. Or any jobs that
require too much interaction with others, like salesman. I tend to be too undiplomatic. So thanks gibraltar.
(By the way, I visited Gibraltar in '56 @ six years old. The monkeys jumped on me and pulled my hair.)

Cowardly, criminal grifters who remain silent as numerous state officials and employees receive death threats over the election results.
