think that many Republicans want to get back to some degree of normalcy without a lunatic in charge. The crazy ones will rise to top ? The ones who trump has something on? Or will lose their seats if trump turns his crazies against them ?

I think Mitch is sick of the election drama and a revolt by Republicans in the Senate will only make things worse. Senate GOP leadership is making it clear they don't want any part of it. Cornyn was against the stupid lawsuit.

ETA: Like Boehner, McConnell will have to "herd cats" if senators try to obstruct the certification of the Electoral College. McConnell really has not had to "herd cats" as majority leader. They have all fallen in line...the exception was John McCain and McConnell was aghast....

He will probably go back to obstruction once Biden is sworn in.

In J6. Would be interesting to look at the republican senate makeup. How many of the 52 ( two undecided, right?) are bought by trump vs. how many are just "normal" Republicans. Obviously Cruz & Graham are in the former
