A person with business ties can do a good job

John F. Kennedy's father Joseph was a wealthy business-man who was named by FDR to crack down against Wall Street big-shots and now Joe Kennedy is considered a very good head of the SEC chairman. The steel industry and chamber of commerce his son. Looks like Joe raised him well.

Today the President is criticized for naming a person with a past of links to bankers; but is he tied to that past? Why wasn't Joe compelled to forever favor his former buddies?
