Kissimmee firefighters resuscitate dog

Kissimmee firefighters resuscitate dog
3 dogs found unresponsive; 1 saved

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -

Firefighters in Kissimmee resuscitated a dog after a fire broke out at a mobile home Friday, according to authorities.

Rescue workers found smoke coming from a mobile home at 1328 Roscoe Dr., and, after forcing their way into the home, found three unresponsive dogs in a back bedroom.

Using specially designed masks for dogs, crews were able to resuscitate one of the pets. The others could not be saved.

"We are saddened by the loss this family has sustained, but we are grateful one of the dogs was able to be saved and most importantly that no human life was lost in this fire," Kissimmee Deputy Chief Jeremy Donovan said.
