Scott Walker Has Violated Wisconsin’s Campaign Finance Laws 1,115 Times since 2009

http://wepartypatriots.com/wp/2012/01/10/scott-walker-has-violated-wisconsins-campaign-finance-laws-1115-times-since-2009/

One thing that can be said about Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is that when he makes up his mind to do something, he stays the proverbial course. When he decided to use his new found power to disenfranchise a large group of his constituents, the outcry of 100,000 protestors did not change his plans. As recall signatures have piled by the hundreds of thousands, he has remained committed to his agenda.

But perhaps Walker’s greatest commitment has been to the illegal and improper recording and reporting of campaign contributions. In fact, One Wisconsin Now is reporting that Walker has violated the state of Wisconsin’s campaign finance laws 1,115 times since 2009:

The total contributions in violation of Wisconsin statute 11.60(1) total $518,096. One Wisconsin Now previously filed a complaint with the Government Accountability Board in September when Walker’s improperly-reported contribution tally was $235,000 half of what it has risen to in the last several days.

“Scott Walker has improperly reported well over $500,000 in contributions from inside and outside of Wisconsin,” said Scot Ross, One Wisconsin Now Executive Director. “Scott Walker has absolutely no interest in following the campaign finance rules of the state of Wisconsin and we again call for state regulators to address his serial violation of our laws.”

I'm so sick of Wisconsin stories being "general discussion"-worthy. I long for the days when I had to go to the Wisconsin forum to even find out that our state existed on DU.

p.s. thanks for posting the story - I'm just needing to whine a little. I'm sick of Walker, but proud of all that we are doing to fight him and his administration.

this wisconsin is not the wisconsin i remember.

maybe it was like this -- but i remember a fairly progressive midwestern farm type state.

a place where an eisenhower might pass but never a walker.

The days of Gaylord Nelson and Bill Proxmire are long gone.

It's time to bring those days back.

Arlington Heights.

Percy just passed away last September. I think there was a note on DU about it.

Just about wherever you are as a teen, it's hard to be different, and the more different you are, the harder it is.

I was. . . . . different.

Don't miss Arlington at all, especially the weather, and yet I'm always fascinated when I go back (which admittedly isn't often). On the other hand, I never want to stay too long.

He won a shady election. There's some incredibly rotten forces that put him in power (Kochs) and there's some incredibly rotten forces keeping him in power. I'm in California and I've been following this fiasco very closely. If Walker gets away with it, whats to stop the others from getting away with the truly evil shit Walker has?
