Putting it all together -

Drumpf is in charge of federal law enforcement there. He had them stand down.

I bet this is the story that's going to come out.

It was well known that serious LE presence would be needed. Capitol Police are not equipped to deal with it. Where was the Guard, or even DC police - until late in the day?

5. High probability. Remember Esper defying tRump over using military inside US in summer?

Jan 2021

tRump fired Secretary of Defense Esper on Nov 9, 2020, after the election. He installed his own toady as acting Sec'y.

Esper had previously stood up and defied tRump over using the military, only a few months previous in the summer (how long ago that seems). He even mentioned the Insurrection Act which Michael Flynn wants to invoke.

At a Pentagon press conference on June 3, Defense Secretary Mark Esper declared his opposition to using active-duty military to quell domestic unrest: "The option to use active-duty forces in a law enforcement role should only be used as a matter of last resort, and only in the most urgent and dire of situations. We are not in one of those situations now. I do not support invoking the Insurrection Act."[104][105][106]

The DC National Guard is not like a state; DC Mayor Bowser, the highest elected executive of the District, does not control the DC NG. The Defense Department does. Which answers to the toady acting Secretary. Who answers to tRump.

That is why Bowser had to call in the Virginia National Guard because Virginia has a Democratic Governor.

Apparently Pence eventually ordered out the DC National Guard.

I guess tRump planned it this way with the acting toady, expecting mass gangs of antiFa and "BLM" to turn out and create massive violent riots. Then he would invoke the Insurrection Act and stop everything. Certainly there was a lot of chatter about the Act on the FReak site.
