but Congress is the cowed mother as they continue to not stand up to him.

The kids grow up hating him and despising her.

We hated our abusive father.

We were betrayed by our mother who chose to enable him instead of protect us.

My sister and I have been saying for the past four years that our country is in an abusive marriage.

I appreciate your saying it.
