Where should those at March be held responsible?

Serious discussion!

What location should those who were at the 1/6/21 march, be charged?

If they listen to Trump and went back home right then, I feel they came to sense and should heed this as a "warning".

If they put a foot towards the Capitol and moved a foot towards it, "insurrection" should be the charge. They formed an Army and as a movement, they were all of one. Kinda like a old civil war battle, they marched and their strength as a formation of one forced the entry into the Capitol.

Insurrection Act of 1807 "Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."

Now comes the controversial part.

Should all who March onto the Capitol be charged for Insurrection or Treason?

I believe all get charged for insurrection, but those that actually entered the prohibited Capital grounds should be charged with BOTH Insurrection and Treason.

Why? Those laptops with national security information were stolen and they were part of the group that helped to make that happened. Again, " a movement of One"

the Capitol, needs to be charged.

But I'm no lawyer, and no even less about the kind of charges that might be in play here.

Slew of charges US Capitol police can charge them. Even stepping off the sidewalks or being part of an unauthorized March. But those are just tickets, this was no peaceful March, this was an overthrow of an election and our country.

a journalist or ... In other words, if they committed a crime outside, they should and likely will be charged with said crime. All those who entered the building are guilty of all charges appropriate, IMO including murder.

Most in the crowd did not do anything considered a crime. Just being there is not a crime. Being stupid and gullible is not a crime.

Sorry, but I disagree with you on that. They all marched to the Capitol and they all knew they what they were doing... to change the vote in Trumps favor. If they marched towards the Capitol, they were as guilty as the one that killed the Capitol policeman. They all knew it was not going to be singing chants, they had sticks, clubs, and guns. That was an overthrow of the government, plain and simple. Pictures say a thousand words, Videos speak VOLUME. I did not see the action they did until this morning after watching the video. It is sickening to watch, they violently broke through and entered. Those who were behind that are just like an army, they got in and destroyed the Halls of Congress. Every single individual that participated from the white house to the Capitol is as guilty as the one that killed the officer...

shouldn't get major jail time. For those who remained outside, nothing unless there is a specific charge. For those who went inside, there is essentially a federal criminal trespass re/ Mike Pence's security, which should be most of them (1 yr max). For those with zip ties, weapons, or can be shown as organizers of invading sedition. In addition to the trespass, those who stole items, vandalized, etc. should be charged as appropriate. Obviously murder for the fire extinguisher wielder, but the federal felony murder statue doesn't come into play here.

I don't want a felony charge, although am ok with months of jail time, for anyone who went into the capital building, looked around, thought better of the situation, and left. Throw the book at any organizers, instigators, or people who committed felonies.
