Did the NSA lawyer/mole successfully burrow in?

Haven't heard an update. Getting to the server with the Ukraine conversation should be high on State's agenda. We need to understand what happened to move forward in our foreign policy.

By the way what is seen might lead to a referral to the DoJ. Just saying.

Ellis is utterly unfit and unqualified. He's a Nunes protege and Trump lapdog who should be removed. dalton99a Jan 2021 #4

The man was installed as a General Counsel. As such, he will only have access to any classified information on a "need-to-know" basis. He will never "need to know" anything of any importance, nor will he be able to make any policies.

The NSA is expert at stashing political appointees away where they can do no harm. The job is really just a sinecure. He could stay there until retirement without every seeing anything classified higher than SECRET.

That's especially true of those who have been placed in them by Presidents. On appointment, they're given an office and a desk, but nothing really to do. That will be the case with that NSA placement by Trump.

Oh, yes, they do give you a red stapler, though.

Counting penguins at an outpost in Antarctica is a possibility. As a civil service employee his job is protected (somewhat) but he is not protected from reassignment.
