The thing about margarine green

First of all, as my wife just said, "she's a rootin tootin piece of shit."

And I agree.

But here's the thing.

Her "Daddy" owned a construction company in Alphretta, a richer, whiter Atlanta suberb in Fulton County. That's where she grew up. She went to UGA and got her BA in business. In 2002 her daddy "sold" the company in Alphretta to her.

You can tell that she was wanting to become a famous right winger. That whole video of herself chasing Hogg, she was rich enough to just fly to washington and pay for someone to camera for her so that she could act like a right wing news person. That's what she was doing, producing videos of herself to post on the internet to try to become a right wing media person.

That's what she wants. She thinks she is hot stuff. She is nothing more than that mean girl who thinks she is somebody. She's a bully who thinks she is so smart. She is full of herself.

In Georgia, a person is only required to live in the state to run in any district, but she went and bought a condo in district 14 while she was running. All her talk about "in NW Georgia we do this and we do that" is just a load of bullshit she is feeding her sheep. She chose north west georgia instead of her home in the suburbs because she thought she could go up there and manipulate those simple hillbillies. They are her audience. Not us. Not normal mainstream American citizens. Send her back to her echo chamber and get her out of the public eye.

What she wants is attention, she wants to be famous, she wants to cash in on the same thing that she saw sarah palin cash in on. She wants to be a hillbilly beverly. She wants to send out texts about how she is the opposite of AOC and protecting all good rednecks from evil socialism.

That's why we shouldn't give it to her. I won't post about her again, and I encourage everyone to do the same. Don't feed the troll. She is white trash that you wouldn't bother talking to in real life so don't spread her name around. She is nothing to be afraid of, she isn't worth a bit of time.

I suspect that qbert is a real believer in the stuff she says but that margarine green knows better and uses it to demagogue. But she may be smarter than I give her credit for, and the other may be dumber for that matter.

These silly nicknames are just too reminiscent of the Trump playbook.
Not being overly critical, but it’s a real irritant for me.

though I do make exceptions now and then. Personally I'd rather people call her "Margarine" Greene than "MTG". Using a person's initials instead of their name, implies an importance and stature that Ms. Greene has not earned. FDR, MLK, RBG, JFK, and LBJ are historical giants. Marjorie Taylor Greene will never be in a class with these people.

Meanwhile, I just call her by her name.

I'm somewhat familiar with Alpharetta, GA. Lots of subdivisions owned by professional people. Alpharetta is an example of the suburbs that moved away from supporting Trump. Her behavior wouldn't be popular there. No wonder she moved to a safely red district. But if she's not born and raised there, I doubt they'll be loyal to her.

Just a rich entitled mean girl with no friends.

people do need to know, but let her show them herself because she is and she will keep on going when she needs to get more attention. The line we have to walk is not giving her any semblance of being acceptable.

it is as everyone describes (not that that is so unusual) anyone with an R wins. Hands down.

I was looking into her history. You are right her “success” was from her father’s mega construction company, basically can’t fail. She did buy a gym and was very successful with it and I think expanded it. The thing is...this article below is long but very well done. It (from October 2020) mentions the video with Hogg. That video doesn’t look or sound like it’s with a phone. It looks like a camera and maybe a boom mic operation but I could be wrong.

Anyway, here’s something interesting from he article.

After the primary results had set up a showdown between Cowan and Greene, a friend of Saville’s sent her screenshots of social-media posts written by the former owner of a CrossFit gym where, in 2012, Greene had begun to work, part time, as a coach. CrossFit is a fitness regimen famous for inspiring intense devotion; when the former gym owner, Jim Chambers, first met Greene, he got the sense that it “had kind of taken her life over,” he told me. “She had a lot of time and a lot of money,” he said, and also a vague ambition, as he saw it, “to run a gym.” When, eight years later, it looked like she might be headed to Congress, Chambers got on social media and told the world that, back when he knew Greene, she was having “multiple, blatant extramarital affairs in front of all of us.” He added, “I don’t even judge that, until you say the kind of shit she does and claim the Jesus about it.” (Greene, who was baptized at an evangelical church in a suburb just north of Atlanta, in 2011, and speaks frequently about being Christian, has said that she wants to bring “my faith and my family values to Washington.”)

I spoke to one of the men with whom Greene allegedly had an affair. He asked not to be named and told me that he, too, was bothered by Greene’s hypocrisy. He provided me with a screenshot of a text exchange in which Greene acknowledged sleeping with him. “She never talked about politics,” he said. He told me he later learned that she was also sleeping with another man who was not her husband, “while the whole time being ‘super Christian.’ ” He added, “She’s not the pro-family, pro-Christian, strong-business woman she touts herself to be.”

If you were to make a graph of income versus education, it is one of the rare industries that lands in the high income, low education quadrant. That makes them very reactionary on the whole "bootstraps and low taxes" demographic.

The only thing worse than contractors are second generation contractors. My traditionally conservative boss was just complaining yesterday how so many people born into the industry are just downright arrogant and shitty people.

They inherit the attitude about being self-made without actually ever having to do the work. Which is one of the many reasons they love Trump so much.

She fits the bill perfectly.

I believe I caught hell on here for using the term "white trash". I think it is descriptive. Greene is the perfect example that white trash can be educated and have money. It is not derogatory to someone who is poor. It is just saying that regardless of the advantages they may have had, they are still trash.

I know the official story is that her opponent dropped out when his wife filed for divorce and he moved to a different state to live with family. I find that story to be highly suspect. I suspect intimidation and threats were involved. The people who pushed for her election cannot be trusted to be fair on any level.
