2. It's interesting, really. Anyone can run for office, pretty much.

That's why campaigns exist. They are supposed to provide time for people to learn more about the candidates. Usually, that works out OK, but not always.

However, it is always possible for an unworthy candidate to win an election, for whatever reason. It happens. Fortunately, they soon stand out as being unworthy of their office and are outnumbered by others who are competent, whether we agree with their political positions or not.

4. Who should set the requirements? Obviously prohibitions on gunz are reasonable, but what about

education, beliefs, etc.

Voters should have more sense than to vote for trump, Taylor, Cruz, and the like, but I'm for limited requirements to run.
