He said that it was manipulation to wait to bring articles of impeachment to the Senate and also says that he can't be impeached because he wasn't President any more. He can't argue it both ways. Or am I missing something.

happened after he left office.

He's also quoting judicial decisions from state cases, which I would assume would go by the rules in state constitutions.
