Was she ever not on Board?
I couldn't say for certain one way or another. My observational comments were based on the OP's title (subject) making it sound as though this is a new development and worthy of announcing.

I think you need to be asking Senator Manchin why he is waffling on yet another women of color?
I think it's a mistake to assume his decisions have anything to do with the fact that she's a woman, or that she's an person of color. Why go there? He is a Democrat after all. I see no good purpose in turning one's disappointment into insinuations (or not-so-veiled allegations) that he's bigoted, or a racists, or sexist, or a misogynist.

He's not my favorite Senator by any means... but I can tell you that any attempts to tar-and-feather him, or to make insinuations like that will hurt him. He's the best we can hope for coming out of West Virginia. Our other option is a full-on Republican who will caucus with the Republicans (thereby giving them the majority in the Senate and control over committees and the legislation that makes it to the floor for voting) and it would be someone who votes with the Republicans 99% of the time.

All I'm saying is, we need to think carefully before going down that road. Better to put our frustration to use in FLIPPING other Republican senate seats and GAINING new Democrats. If we get enough, then he won't matter as much and his "power" and influence (ie: ability to gum up the works by being a deciding-vote) will be minimized.

4. Call Joe Manchin at 202-224-3954

That is his DC office number (taken from: https://www.manchin.senate.gov/contact-joe/office-locations).

I called him and left a message over the weekend. I explained to him that while I am not one of his constituents, his votes impact me and my life and he certainly accepts out-of-state campaign contributions and assistance when it's election time, therefore he can damn well listen to my opinion on all his problematic stances.
