Woot! 👍

2nd Pfizer shot in the arm! Ready to re-enter society...gradually!

Finally get to see 92 year old mother-in-law after a year! We were planning to go to her birthday last March 15th... right when COVID hit. She's fully vaccinated, too, now, so...so grateful we all made it to this point!

People that I personally know in WA who call your wonderful governor an "idiot". I've got no patience for that.

change their minds, either.

I've got family all over the country- including older siblings (my husband and I are the babies at 65), who can't get their vaccines yet!

And this includes one who works for NIH! Lives in Maryland.

the vaccine, but I sure do envy them. No vaccine in sight in my county. Spoke with a relative in SC yesterday and he said the same for his area. Two vaccination sites in my area, but they have not had any vaccine since they used up their miniscule supply several weeks ago. When asked, they have no idea if or when they will get more.

both of them. They have web sites to sign up. But no matter what time of day, what day, or how often in a day, both sites always say that they have no vaccone and no appointments available.

There is no evidence that people who are vaccinated cannot still be carriers!! But congrats!! My wife got her first dose this afternoon!

Got mine Monday, she got hers today.

Scheduled for number 2 in three weeks.

Luckily I have a car and internet.

I wonder about the folks who don't have those.

I wonder about the Third World folks.

It ain't over until EVERYBODY gets vaccinated.

Remind me, how long did it take to get rid of smallpox? polio?

How is post injection going? It is my understanding that the second injection is more likely to result in adverse reactions. It is germane to my own situation because I am scheduled for first vaccination next Wednesday, putting my second injection on a day when I am scheduled to be in my veterinary clinic the next day, AND scheduled for total hip replacement on April 6. Please don't hesitate to PM me.

I asked him this morning how he was feeling and he said he was tired, but not feeling too bad. He went back to bed around 9:45 a.m. and I think I hear him moving around, taking a shower, etc and it's 1:10 p.m. So, he must definitely not be feeling 100% but I'm sure he'll be a lot better tomorrow.

I'm just so relieved he is fully vaccinated now. I'm 56 so have a bit more of a wait, but I think we'll start to go out to eat, outside, this coming up weekend. I feel safe doing that.

on Sunday it was 2 weeks since my 2nd shot. On Monday I bought a new car. Today I went to the grocery store after not being inside any store for almost a year, then went on to the carpet showroom to pick out the carpet for my stairs. I drove through a fast food restaurant. I bought a latte at Starbucks after all this time!

tomorrow I mean to go to UPS to return an amazon order, and have my passport photo taken for the renewal. I don't know if I'll ever get out of the states again, but I'll be ready if it happens.

it was fun. In August I'm going home to CA - I have my oldest son and his family there plus my daughter's grave and a lifetime's worth of friends and it's all I want.

enjoy! I am already. Still masking, still distancing, still wiping down stuff etc, but I'm not afraid that my trip today will kill me. It's a huge difference.
