is by itself a detriment to repeating an offense, especially if you're working and don't want to get docked. If you are not proven guilty of charges, you likely have to take off work at least twice to appear in Court. When that happens, you LOSE MONEY.

So I'd not be in favor of some kind of blanket pardon. If you show up and break laws, you pay. You pay even if you're not proven to be guilty.

One of the biggest mistakes in U.S. history occurred at the end of the Civil War. The U.S. Government decided (due to pressure mostly from General Grant) not to prosecute the leaders of the Confederacy. This was done primarily in the interest of trying to reunify the country during the failed period of Reconstruction.

Had the Government arrested, tried, convicted and punished the traitors, much would have been different in the ensuing 100+ years. There would not have been the romanticizing of the Southern Generals. There wouldn't be military bases and parks named after those traitors. The Confederate flags would have been denigrated. There are I'm sure, many more ways that our history would have been different.

In short, we wouldn't still have this nonsense that "the South shall rise again."

In our present circumstance, the seditionists must be called to account. They are a threat to our nation's very existence.
