5. I make it a point to never idolize or personally invest in any politician

They're human and will disappoint you at some point. See them as the public servants they are supposed to be. They are not above any of us.

However.

Ugh. I am this close to becoming personally attached to Secretary Pete. I've always liked and admired him. But whenever he's in the news, it's only ever for awesome reasons. He's Secretary of Transportation, and there he is doing his thing by personal example.

I think I quietly hate that man. Because he is constantly reminding me I can be better.

It is highly irksome.

This is how I'm wired and even though I know I may feel disappointment some day, I don't care.

You have to be who you are. Sec'y Pete does that and he does it well. I don't hate him at all; I'm doing the best I can.
