Public Comment period to reinstate Migratory Bird Treaty Act ends March 1 (link, info)

It's arguably the strongest environmental law we have. BP had to pay the US 100 million due to violation of it. It's not just about birds. It's also about habitat: wetlands, woods, streams, etc...

The law is so important that Trump tried putting the final nail in it a day after the insurrection.

"Just days before this devastating new rule was to go into effect, the Biden administration announced it was reassessing the law's rollback and its protections for birds."


Haaland supports reversing the Trump revisions. So far, public comments are overwhelmingly in support of de-Trumping it, however many people are unaware of it.
