....It is very simple. The U.S. faced a crises of major proportions that could kill tens of thousands.
Donald Trump said this was not a crises, it was a hoax and would be gone soon even though he had information that said otherwise.
He could have contacted other country's leaders to find out what to do, and he did nothing for a very long time, but defend himself and his viewpoint.
...During that time we could have gotten everyone masked up and prepared for the very worse.
Which has happened. Far worse than anywhere else...He did the very worst in preparation and
warning us of what was coming. When it got bad, he still did nothing...People warned him,
but the federal government could have done much more in the very beginning, but Trump did
nothing.
Even Dr Fauci warned him, but he did not listen. If anyone else was President of the U.S.A., you
or I, or Obama, we would have done something for nationwide preparation that would have saved thousands of lives. Trump did not prepare the federal government for this what he he knew was coming. And Trump knew it was coming because that is what he was told and could easily observe.
Last one, maybe most important: Trump did not care about anyone but himself
And that is why Trump will always be known as the ...Worst President Ever in history...

(38,414 posts)..Could the Civil War have been prevented?..No, Lincoln was elected and because of that one idea, and
his view about eventually abolishing slavery it could not have been prevented.
...Could WWII have been prevented..No, we were attacked at Pearl Harbor..
...Yes, our involvement in WWI might have been prevented, but could the war have been prevented?
Not likely because the alliances that existed actually set up WWI, and also there was no idea how
fatal such a war would be. If leaders had assumed the very worst, given the weapons that were new...
machine gun..etc. it might have been different..Maybe...

(16,923 posts)and based on "Could'a - Should'a" - THAT will put him on top of the list every time!
BUT: (hate to be a 'negative Nelly' here) - let's NOT forget the "daily briefing" in August of 2001 that told of some "possible" attempts by hostile foreign agents aimed at direct attacks on the United States:
August 6, 2001
On August 6, 2001, the President's Daily Briefing, entitled Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US warned that bin Laden was planning to exploit his operatives' access to the U.S. to mount a terrorist strike: FBI information... indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country, consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attack.[8] Rice responded to the claims about the briefing in a statement before the 9/11 Commission stating the brief was "not prompted by any specific threat information" and "did not raise the possibility that terrorists might use airplanes as missiles." *

Of course, the "argument" that there were single days when there were more deaths (and MANY days at that) than the total from 9/11 has a very strong 'argument' for which was worse.......

President Donald Trump admitted he knew weeks before the first confirmed US coronavirus death that the virus was dangerous, airborne, highly contagious and "more deadly than even your strenuous flus," and that he repeatedly played it down publicly, according to legendary journalist Bob Woodward in his new book "Rage."
"This is deadly stuff," Trump told Woodward on February 7.
In a series of interviews with Woodward, Trump revealed that he had a surprising level of detail about the threat of the virus earlier than previously known. "Pretty amazing," Trump told Woodward, adding that the coronavirus was maybe five times "more deadly" than a strenuous flu.

(2,496 posts)the fact that he was impeached twice; his fawning deference to adversarial dictators; his endless lies . . . .
And all of it is recorded on video for perpetuity.

(18,122 posts)anything that would hurt the economy and thus his reelection plans. But his role in the insurrection was treasonous. That a president would try to overthrow the government was reprehensible. I can't think of anything that any president could do that would be worse.
