I live in a county in north central texas

That is no longer reporting daily case data and is redirecting to a broken HHS state webpage, and my city lifted the disaster declaration yesterday.
Sigh. Shrug. Nobody to talk to, really, so just telling you guys. Little nervous about it.

And of course you're nervous. Nobody around seems to give a damn and you want to live and get your life back, safely.

So, do what's in your power: wear a mask when you're out and keep your distance from those idiots who aren't. Hit the store you need when they're less busy and like that.

There's almost always someone around on DU, no matter what time it is.

Hang in there!

behaved the way some of these red states are.

i'd be nervous about it too.

keep on the down low until you get vaccinated. if you have stores that do curbside pick up (target, grocery) then opt for that and order online instead of going into stores. (i think i saw on the news that target and a lot of places are still going to require masks--so that's good.) stay out of restaurants.

and hang in there. biden is saying by the end of may we should all be vaccinated. so... fingers crossed.

There's always someone here to talk to and it's remarkable the enormity of compassionate listeners here too.

I am alone too so I know that isolation only exacerbates the anxiety.

Never hesitate reaching out. You never know when your actions may inspire someone else who needs support.

Stay strong. DU believes in you and you are loved.

control all the distribution, reporting and administration of the vaccine. Thought he'd make everyone wear masks. Thought the whole thing would be "federalized". Duh.

Sounds like the part the Feds will do is deliver the doses. And the states can stymie it all if they want.

I am in Oklahoma, feel really alone sometimes in this bright red state. DU has been a refuge for me. I totally understand how scared you are about what Abbott is doing. I am scared about what Stitt is doing, or more likely not doing, all of the time.

You can always vent here.
