No Citizens United, no Candidate Gingrich

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908/ns/msnbc_tv-rachel_maddow_show/#45949791

MSNBC Talking heads discuss the $5 million super-pac donation propping Newt up

Assumption: Gingrich would not be a factor now if he had not just gotten a $5 million check.

Assumption: Sheldon Adelson's (sp?) gift to Newt had strings attached.

Conclusion: Adelson's background (casino billionaire), interests, and conflicts of interest, will define Gingrich.

Some additional, interesting thoughts...

Was Bain Capital involved with casino investments? If so, that'll hurt Mitt's ability to attack Newt on the casino money.

Newt's using the money to (pretty accurately) smear Romney as "more ruthless than Wall Street" and highlight his waffling on the abortion issue.

Newt is, right now, Barack Obama's best friend in the race.

The discussion of Gingrich's condemnation of "unfettered capitalism" is fascinating. His actions can only hurt his Party. There is no upside to what he's doing.

As usual, Rev Al owns the opposition.
