My wife & I got our first Moderna shot this morning!

We had to leave the island & drive about 30 minutes to the country health center on the mainland. (Which made us both realize we hadn't been on the mainland in over a year, since COVID started.) They had 2 lines of drive-through, National Guard directing traffic, roll down the windows, get a shot, park for 15 minutes, & pick up vax cards with the 2nd appointment date & time on the way out.

It was very fast & efficient, I was impressed (& I'm in FL).

Afterward we treated ourselves to double mochas at a coffee shop followed by a yummy lunch at a nearby Indian restaurant. It was a great morning!

It's only been a few hours but I'm not feeling any effects yet, fingers crossed.

Were you surprised by the changes you saw along your drive?

Had a weird night sleep Monday night and was a little tired on Tuesday but that was it. I’ve heard the reaction to the second dose is worse but better than getting COVID.

But everyone's different. My friend told me to exercise my arm a lot to keep the soreness down. Worked like a charm.
