The White House said Thursday that the intelligence community does not have conclusive evidence that Russian intelligence operatives encouraged the Taliban to attack American troops in Afghanistan.

Obviously he believes in the seriousness of the accusations, and he, like us, find it to be an entirely plausible thing for Russia to do.

But he trusts the intelligence community to do their due diligence, and when they say they're not 100% sure, he doesn't stamp his feet and accuse them of "deep state fake news" and similar nonsense. One way or another, the facts will set the story, not the other way around.
