IRS 2020 refunds.

Help! I made the mistake of filing my 2020 taxes by paper. I go to the web site and they can't find me. Calling the IRS number is impossible, I get, call back later.

I don't need the money, I just would like to know if they got my tax form. I screwed up this year and didn't mail them certified mail.

Is anyone else having similar issues with paper filing?

No record of my papers since February 15, although I used a USPS tracking so I knew it was there. Kept getting the incorrect info message and no record message on IRS website until last week. Got check Monday took almost 10 weeks - don’t give up.

from a small rural post office, to Ogden, Utah, so they probably didn't get them for several days.

Thank you for your post. I was hoping the incorrect info message was a way of saying, we are back logged.

Isn't the head of the IRS an idiot who Trump appointed? Isn't it time that someone figures out how to get rid of him?

They probably got your paperwork. I had to file by paper this year because IRS seems to not have the right adjusted gross income for me from last year. I couldn't e-file because they kept claiming that information was wrong. We also couldn't import data from the IRS into my son's FAFSA at the end of last year and I bet that was related. We had to manually enter all of it, which was kind of a pain. Anyhow, I just got our refund a few days ago and it took them about two months to process our tax return. We got missed on that last covid stimulus of the Trump admin, so we finally got that with our tax refund.
