The Boston Globe reports that former White House financial reform adviser Elizabeth Warren, who is challenging Republican Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts, raised $5.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2011:
The figures were confirmed by people with knowledge of the fundraising effort.
Her overall fundraising for those few final months of 2011 have outpaced what Brown raised. His campaign released fundraising figures this week showing he raised a total of $8.5 million last year. His fundraising for the final quarter ending December 31 added $3.2 million.
Still Brown still holds a strong advantage, having accumulated $12.8 million in his campaign account, a record amount for any Massachusetts candidate this early in the election cycle.

(3,425 posts)4. Elizabeth's biggest advantages has to be her legions of volunteers.
I have read that there are literally thousands of them. I am going to be in Massachusetts next week and again in April and I will try to find a place where I can donate at least a couple of days for her campaign.
