Walking around the Kroger today...

I happen upon an older, maskless, white feller, who was sporting an NRA camo cap.

I didn’t have the heart to tell him what his ensemble portrayed there.

I just did my best to avoid him altogether.

In Columbus, Kroger is the armpit of grocery stores. Even Walmart is doing a better job.

I saw an unmasked guy with a tee shirt that said "You cannot live in fear." And my thought was that a lot of the fearless die stupidly.

Walking by I said "You know you can't kill the virus with a gun right?"
Then Jeannie pulled me away.

I think a lot of them are operating under the mind-over-body folk belief that if you don't "believe" in the virus it can't harm you.

I do not fear the virus at all. I wear a mask and follow precautions out of consideration for others and a sense of duty to my family and community. I don't want to get the virus and die or get sick, but it does not permeate my every waking thought either. If we all do our part and act responsibly, we can move forward and return to a situation where there aren't so many restrictions.

Right wingers cannot seem to understand things except for in binary terms. Either this, or that. Black or white. Simplistic thinking.

Always more maskholes there than any other store. Even with mandates lifted in Arizona I rarely see unmasked people at other grocery stores.
ALthough the ones I do see always have some OathKeeper or 3% clothes or tattoos.

They were pulling the "muh rights/Hippa" bullshit and I left. Everytime since then there haven't been any issues.

It’s good you avoided him since that’s what everyone should do. He was dressed for rejection.
