People have been demanding this for ages.

(73,506 posts)I love Peter Tosh. Many people think that Bob Marley wrote "Get Up/Stand Up," which was actually Peter's lyrics (Bob's music).
I have a substantial collection of Tosh's music.

(73,506 posts)I remember when he was killed. Peter Tosh was not only brave, but he maintained that edge that made him one of the outstanding voices of our era, even facing death. Thus, of course, we are able to celebrate his life, with pride in knowing he didn't only act tough. He was the definition of strength.
Thanks for posting this ..... it has motivated me to get out some of my Tosh music. My older son has a lot of rare Tosh music, and it is ideal for progressive socio-political activists.
Gotta be my favorite DU OP/thread in years!

(268,664 posts)We were at a party when one of the guests (also named Peter) told us - 11th September 1987 - a Friday night. One of my close friends was on duty when they brought in the bodies - he still hasn't got over that.
Tosh music always works - glad you like the thread.
