Franklin Graham Hits Trump for Demonizing the Press, Claims He Can Tell Former President ‘Hard Truths’

Evangelist Rev. Franklin Graham once led a day of prayer for former President Donald Trump against his “enemies.” But unlike the former president, Graham does not believe the media to be an opposition force.

In an interview with Axios on HBO, Graham criticized Trump for repeatedly bashing the fourth estate at rallies and in other forums.

“I would never have said that,” Graham said — of Trump’s constant directives to not believe the press. “I think it’s hurt him. I think it built a wall. I think it created animosity when it shouldn’t have. Just because somebody disagrees with you doesn’t mean they’re your enemy.”

Asked by Axios co-founder Mike Allen if he believes it was a mistake to demonize the press, Graham replied, “No question about it.”

1. Uggh. I feel about Franklin Graham similarly to Cheney and all the other Johnny Come-lately Trump

"realists." I'll take the rare honest statement, but that pesky pattern of behavior and support is not going to be forgotten.

Graham is despicable for many reasons, not the least the way in which he has bastardized Christianity. Even his often racist father was a "model" in comparison.

Still, one can not help but love to see any of these warped "evangelicals" speaking out in criticism of Trump
