(31,970 posts)Many who died were in nursing homes. The death rate was the highest among elderly who had pre-existing conditions. People who are not likely in the workforce.
that died from Covid were in nursing homes. A lot were of working age and working. Just because someone is over 65 does not mean they are retired. I know a lot of 70 plus year olds that are still working for a variety of reasons. Then there are those that got sick but did not die and are still suffering the consequences of having had Covid. Is anyone even counting how many long haulers there are.
