I got banned from FR in 2007 for saying this.

(At the time they were supporting Romney, as the Anyone But McCain candidate)

It is official Mormon teaching that Jesus and Satan are brothers.

http://lds.org/ldsorg/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=e1fa5f74db46c010VgnVCM1000004d82620aRCRD&locale=0&sourceId=8b4a7befabc20110VgnVCM100000176f620a____&hideNav=1

It is also LDS teaching such as Jesus is OUR brother - when the righteous are raised to salvation WE will all be Gods.

That factual information got me banned (vaporized) from FR.

If you think that Evangelical Theologians are not well aware of LDS teaching, and may have, and preach a conscientious objection towards voting for a Mormon ...

I believe you are mistaken.

It shows how the born agains work. They play for power and keeps. From experience and observation, evangelicals and born agains are not "Christian" in any form. They live by the old testament.

I stand in awe of your accomplishment; I haven't been able to stand to be there long enough to get banned. I don't give a rip what religion anybody is as long as they don't, say, cram it down my throat, or run the country based on it. But to get banned from FR for any reason is akin to winning a gold medal at the olympics. Well, almost as cool.

I just joined in order to post a major Bush snark I had just written; it stood for a few hours before it (& I) got nailed.

I wonder if a 1-post banning is a record there. Well, of course I suppose it is since you can't get banned after zero posts, but I wonder if anyone has tied me.

But not even once in my life have I considered the Republican party.

In my opinion, the world can't handle such things.

I fear more people are about to come to terms with it.

The one thing that is certain is suffering. Expect it.

Sort of like the Hillary Clinton / Obama infighting here.

I bet you stuck out like a sore thumb because you provided links, facts, sources. I think the FReeper way is to go with your gut and trust your instincts for "facts", but you didn't, and that made you seem suspicious.
(I'm totally weaving this theory out of whole cloth, but it's a good a guess as any) (Oh the irony, right now I am going with my gut instinct... but I also use links, am well read, etc)

Given their current hatred of him, it seemed unlikely. And yet, I can indeed find a thread from 2007 where he's pretty popular - and Jim Robinson started the thread, so it was all OK with him: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1830551/posts

I wonder if FR will manage the U-turn they did to support Bush in 2000, and then McCain in 2008 (McCain had been trashed for months on FR, until Palin appears, Jim Robinson said he'd "pull his lever for her", and suddenly McCain was a True Conservative again). The anti-Romney vitriol is such that it seems impossible, though.

Intellectual consistency doesn't matter there because the teahadists despise intellect so much. Shortly after the debt debacle, I visited FR for the first time and it was the initial catalyst for what has happened since. I will never forget the way my eyes were suddenly opened that evening. I now have tremendous shame and personal guilt about the fact that I once cast my lot with those people in the Republican party. Tremendous shame.
