I always refer to Al Capone. A lesson learned?

Some of you may remember notorious gangster Al Capone….

Given the many awful crimes that he supposedly committed/ordered….

For what did he go to prison?

Tax Evasion.

Beware Trump Org executives!!!

Monetary records are solid evidence!!!

😉

I do think because monetary records are kept, they provide evidence, something other crimes don’t.

Yes, Capone had all sorts of diseases, and he was released before the end of his sentence.

Trump? He probably has all sorts of diseases and conditions. And if he goes to prison for tax evasion, I'm fine with that. I'm also fine with continuing efforts to charge him with other crimes while he is in prison.

That said, at the moment I fall into the category of I don't think he'll go to jail. I hope that attitude changes. And, of course, I hope he, along with his children and their spouses, and every executive in his mob goes to jail.

I can’t imagine Trump and Ivanka, Don Jr and Eric aren’t a bit ‘ concerned’.
I’m sure they benefitted from ‘creative’ tax accounting practices.

Mary Trump indicates she thinks the kids will flip before Weiselberg.

Heck, why stop at Don, Eric, and Ivanka. Go after every single one of them. Add Tiffany and Jared. And Barron when he turns 18; Happy to wait.

But. . . only after indictments for every other non-family employee getting the same "perks." One after the other after the other.

Question for accountants here. Aren't there ways to provide perks, treat them as income, and then also for the company to pay the taxes on the additional income to the employee? I mean, after all is said and done, what would it have cost to do it this way. How much did the company or the employees/family members save by doing this as tax fraud?

Remember Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness, and Robert DeNiro as Al Capone? So many great actors in that cast, Sean Connery won the Oscar for best supporting actor.

Being fraudulent is just being a good businessman.

Americans need to wake the hell up to the fact that Republicans are all frauds and criminals that only use the word 'business' as a vehicle for their criminal tendencies and behaviors.

Which apparently allows that person to commit crimes before, during and after the presidency without consequence, because applying the law to such a person stands the risk of pissing off tens of millions of Americans.
