I just got the visa update bulletin from USCIS

There is no backlog, wait, or delay for spouses of American citizens. It's all over by the clerical work, a cursory interview, and then this almost year old separation from my wife is OVER!!!

When she has her IR1, it's off to Phuket for a short vacation together, then back to the US!

Anyone who wants to go through this process, I don't recommend it. Our "legal" immigration system is completely broken and are using laws passed in 1952, so our immigration system was set up during the xenophobic Cold War.

a war crime quality dump on the process. More than $10,000 and three years later, we are finally close to getting her ready to apply for citizenship.

detaining a naturalized American citizen for ten days.

Biden has so many fires to put out as a president. Reigning in an uncontrolled CBP and ICE are just two of them.
