I hung my flag upside-down. I am in distress.

The country I grew up in, learned about, and came to love all but died on Jan. 6.

This Fourth of July seems empty to me. The meaning I've long celebrated has been upended. Our nation, it's founding principles, our Constitution, and our future were grievously violated by an insurrectionist mob who desecrated our flag and everything it stood for. The heathens that were called forth en masse by a traitor used our flag as weapons.

My little town in this RED county has a huge parade, and it's merely minutes away. The town--2,000--swells to 10,000. Because it celebrates a largely dead country, I wasn't going to go. I hate Trumpers with the intense fury of a thousand suns, am on edge, and feel I may fight. But my daughters and grandkids are there, so I will.

I'm wearing a custom T: I SURVIVED 45.

Fuck the Trump humpers for wounding our nation so terribly. And those assholes who are still sporting flags and yardsigns are traitors.

Since Biden is president, there will be people thinking your flag represents the current administration. There are several Trump supporters where I live that are now flying the flag upside down.

influence my actions. I would add the word traitor to your shirt, but that is just me.

By the way, heathens are not traitors. Their spirituality is earth-centered

I am in deep despair about living in a country gone mad. At 70, it’s unrecognizable to me. Historically, America seems to always take one step forward and then jump back three.

It is in big trouble, of course, and this is no time to rush to surrender. Maybe instead identify a principle you're unwilling to abandon and fly the flag right side-up for it?

If someone in our area did that I would think they were Trump won folk.

And seriously there is a good honest man in office after 4 years of a narcissist bully. You have reason to take pride in the symbol of America.

This year at least.

No offense & I understand the angst.

Surrounded by houses with Trump, "Don't Blame Me," Back the Blue, Don't tread...and more.

Guess I'll just take the fucking rag down coz it doesn't mean the same from one person to another. Why bother.

There. That's easy.

But keep in mind if someone rolled by your crib and saw that they might think you’re a trumper protesting the Biden admin.
