(2,963 posts)4. We keep conflating the symptom as the cause. Ignorant voters electing idiot leaders is the cause..
...not vice versa. Folks who only care about power, not the morality or long term wisdom of what will be done with it, are the short circuit in the system. And I guess, until those ignorant voters get hurt enough by the results of the poor leadership and related policies and laws, it is a self renewing and expanding problem.
