I'm glad he wouldn't leave and didn't allow the situation to dampen his spirits and his thirst for learning.

I made the mistake of clicking over to a lousy site that came up in a search I did trying to learn more about McNair.
I guess there's a conspiarcy theroy about everything now. The internet didn't turn out as planned. As much, if not more, disinformation shared compared to factual info. So disappointing.
Once a Flat Plane Truth is realized, one realizes it is All a Great Lie. All of it.

At cluesforum.info, they have been uncovering more inconvenient truths for NASA as to the living Astro-nots, who alleged were killed in the alleged space shuttle Challenger disaster but are now found to be happily gainfully employed in colleges and jobs related to NAZIA. (recent thread here)

Anyway, RIP Mr. McNair.

Its a cult, just like Trumpism. Cult members of any kind are unreachable.

There's a lovely rose and flower garden and several statutes, one of him and various others about his accomplishments and space, iirc. Such a tragedy to lose such a great man. ❤

(15,933 posts)11. This video is a segment to honor Ron McNair
Ron was suppose to play this while up in space. Jean Michel Jarre - Last Rendez-Vous (Ron's Piece) - "Challenger"
The song was composed by Jean-Michel Jarre to be played on a saxophone by Ron McNair, aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger. It would be the first song played and recorded in space. The Challenger was the second shuttle built, after Columbia. It went to space in 1983, on April 4, for the first time. Challenger was destroyed in the second minute of STS-51-L, the orbiter's tenth mission, on January 28, 1986. A defect in the fuel tanks caused the Challenger explosion. The explosion happened during the take-off and all the crew members were killed, including the teacher Christa McAuliffe, the first civil person that participated in a space flight.
Saw this live in Houston back in 1986. Best concert ever . . . FREE in fact.
Laser harp, fireworks off the city skyscrapers. Wonderful evening. Yet somewhat sad because Ron was not there to play his sax solo.
If you get the chance you should watch the whole program, well worth it.
