At the end he started The Star Spangled Banner--they cut the power, turned on the lights
and told every on to go home.

dimmed a big American flag appeared on the screen. Then the people in the audience stood up, in the dark, while the accepted version of the Star Spangled Banner was played. It was Orwellian.

The standard version just leaves me flat, at best, and at worst, makes me cringe, anticipating the missed high notes.
