Local news coverage of President Biden's visit to Crystal Lake IL - WTH ABC?

President Biden is on his way to Crystal Lake, IL, to speak at McHenry County College. McHenry County is decidedly red, although we did replace Peter Roskam with Sean Casten in the House in 2018 in the 6th and put in the fabulous Lauren Underwood in the 14th. McHenry county is the only one of the otherwise reliably blue “collar counties” surrounding Chicago that went for Trump..

The town of Crystal Lake went for Biden. Noteworthy.

So who does the local ABC affiliate interview at the entrance to the campus? 2 Trump supporters with big-ass flags -

The woman was blaming President Biden for gas prices being higher. IIRC, gas prices are typically higher in the summer, no matter who is in office.

I’m really pissed that they did not speak with Biden supporters.

In 2016, Democrats were told to reach out to Trump's base (even though HRC won the popular vote by 3 million). In 2020, the pundits told Democrats to reach out to Trump's base (even though Biden won the popular vote by 7.1 million votes and the Presidency).

thing, interviewed tRump supporters. Did find a woman who said she thought it was pretty cool that La Crosse got to see two Presidents in the last few years, tRump being the other POTUS. Not really positive coverage of Joe’s visit. I’ve also noticed some of the stories they cover are NOT really geared to the Democratic side of a story. Been changing channels to ABC when I don’t care for their coverage.

I'm not far from that region, and I am going to email ABC7 with my complaint. The whole state of Illinois went for Biden. Thanks for posting.

The pro-fascist MAGA types are amusing and/or infuriating, like monkeys throwing poo; in fact, barely distinguishable from monkeys throwing poo; in fact, if monkeys throwing poo were there, the camera crew would still be drawn to the MAGA types. If we had any rabid, lunatic Biden supporters they'd be in the spotlight too.
