AFT head Randi Weingarten gives us a pretty clear definition of what critical race theory is, and who learns it:

"critical" which must mean to rip apart unproven beliefs.
"race" well anything with race in it must be bad. The only time race is brought up is when white people are seen as the reason behind problems.
"theory" some kind of an educated guess based on a little knowledge and a lot of BS.

It only means what fear repuhgs can fill it with. And with those three words there is a lot of fear packed into the ignorance about them.

But put yourself in their shoes. They have no ideas, morals, or ethics. They have nothing to offer. Yet they want to stay in power. What's left but to generate fear of "the Other?" No matter that the "Other" isn't remotely like what Republicans tell their deluded followers. The important thing is that the sheep be frightened.

The same way the Theory of Evolution is used when one examines fossils or virus mutations. Yes, it’s taught but it’s more often used.

Just like they have no idea what socialism is, or what a "theory" is in general.

They don't CARE what it is - all they want is to use it to bludgeon the other side.

They put a meme out as red meat for their ignorant, racist cult followers, who lapped it right up. They don't know what it means. They know what they think it means, and that's all that matters to these gullible morons.
