You can see a smaller one later. There are engineering plans on file where the engineer was proposing supporting the cross beams while sections are replaced.

I can't imagine all the glass and marble and things like refrigerators and all the heavy furniture being pancaked. I can't imagine the weight of it all.

The unit looked nice …

But that parking garage was a horror … a lot of standing water… and you could see a change in the size of the structural columns … those on the left side (as you faced the exit) were larger than those on the right side ….

The part of the building that did not collapse had the larger columns ….

The elevator shear wall is what saved the west tower from collapse. The east tower had a stairwell which stabilized it a bit, but it wasn't strong enough to hold the tower up indefinitely. I reserve my true horror here for the residents of the east tower. The people in the middle tower pretty much were crushed and died instantly, but the people in the east tower had time to be woken up and wonder what that ridiculously loud noise was before they died.

The YouTuber first put up a video of just the underground garage, and added the condo/garage video a short time later.

I’m in these oceanfront condos in South Florida all the time. This is not the normal in my experience.

Better than the condo I once owned.

The garage had water puddles, but a lot of underground ones do.
