Replying to @alanfeuer
JUST IN: Legal scholars, including 1A expert Floyd Abrams, are asking leave to file an amicus brief in Eric Swalwell's J6 suit against Trump.
The would-be amici believe that Trump & the defendants in other J6 civil cases have raised "spurious & thinly developed 1A defenses."

Repube heads would explode.

Bonus: They might finally STFU about critical race theory (which none of them can even define.)

I think it was Lawrence who showed them last night on his program, and yes, they will bring some laughs as well...granted that Rudy will be hard to match, but somehow, when we think they cannot get worst, they do.

Amicus briefs are filed by people who typically take the position of one side in a case, in the process supporting a cause that has some bearing on the issues in the case. The groups most likely to file amicus briefs are businesses, academics, government entities, non-profits and trade associations.

If I understand it correctly, those who filed the "Amicus Brief" are siding with Eric Swalwell's J6 suit against Trump...It is a good thing, there is support against the buffoon.
